About Me

Born and raised in Vermont, I’ve always been driven by curiosity and problem-solving. From an early age, I was the person fixing bikes, taking things apart to understand how they worked—and putting them back together better than before. That hands-on mindset has carried through every stage of my career and continues to shape how I approach software development today.

I am a Software Developer/Applications Engineer with over six years of experience building, supporting, and improving software solutions in manufacturing and enterprise environments. My background spans application development, automation, systems support, and manufacturing IT, allowing me to bridge the gap between software, hardware, and real-world operations. I thrive in environments where I can analyze complex problems, design practical solutions, and continuously refine systems throughout their lifecycle.

What sets me apart is my unconventional path: I progressed from machining and inspection, to IT systems administration, and ultimately into software development. This progression has given me a deep appreciation for users on the shop floor, strong requirements gathering skills, and the ability to write software that is both technically sound and operationally effective. I enjoy mentoring others, documenting solutions clearly, and collaborating across disciplines to deliver reliable, scalable applications.

Outside of work, I continue to challenge myself through programming projects, graphic design, mountain biking, snowboarding, reading, and music—interests that reinforce creativity, discipline, and lifelong learning. I’m motivated by solving meaningful problems and continuously pushing my skills forward, both professionally and personally.
